Frabelle Foods Yummy Cheesedog is Two Thumbs Up!!

I don't really blog about every food i eat all the time. I only blog about my food experience When i get really satisfied with my purchase or when i got more than the worth that i paid for or when i really have to share how great or worst the experience was. After all I don't get paid for doing so :)

Last Weekend i went to SM Hypermart with my dad for my "After the Payday Grocery". I wanted some hotdogs but i was surprised that the Sm Hypermart in Binan dont have much to offer. I would normally get an economically priced hotdog (i let my mom buy the expensive one haha) but they only have Andale and i don't like that. Then i saw the Frabelle Yummy Cheesedogs and recalled "I saw this on TV with a Senator promoting it". I don't know when this product started selling but i took one anyway. I wanted to try it for once and see for myself why Senator Chiz Escudero would vouch his name to its quality.

Now what about my experience?

I've been looking for a hotdog as nice as the one's i buy from Singapore.And i found it now. I looove the Frabelle's Yummy Cheesedog. Unlike other brands, it don't sag! It is so meaty full! and it is very tasty!! as in Ham Tasty!! So i definitely recommend it. It is good and worth your money!

 With this positive experience, i would like to try other Frabelle Products too. Unfortunately im nearly depleted hence, i still have to wait until my next "After the Payday Shopping".

2012 London Olympics Team Philippines

The London Olympics 2012 starts today Yay!!. Lucky are those who can see it in person, it must be an overwhelming experience to be there. Hence i wonder, do we even have a representative in the Olympics this season?

Well, yes we do!! 

Let us wish them luck and pray that they make friends, enjoy and bear the Filipino flag with pride and dignity.

Whoah! 3 Holidays for August 2012 in the Philippines

I've been waiting for August simply because it is one of the very few (or possibly only one?) month in 2012 with a Triple Holiday. Yes, We have 3 Non Working Holidays in August 2012 gracing us 2 long weekends.

Eid ul Fitr .According to TimeandDate.com, Eid-al-Fitr (Eid al-Fitr, Eid ul-Fitr, Id-Ul-Fitr, Eid) is the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutba (sermon) and give zakat al-fitr (charity in the form of food) during Eid al-Fitr. 

Honoring Ninoy

August 21,2012 (Tuesday).
Ninoy Aquino Day. The holiday was created by Republic Act 9256, which was signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on February 25, 2004, twenty-one years after his death and the eighteen years after the People Power Revolution., and was sponsored by Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Jose de Venecia. It requires an EDSA People Power Commission (EPPC) to hold activities in observance the day and shall be funded from the Budget of the Office of the President and from private donations.

A commemoration ceremony was held at the People Power Monument which was attended by Presidents Arroyo and Aquino, the Aquino family, and government officials such as members of the cabinet, top police, and military brass.

Honoring our Heroes 

The holiday was included in President Arroyo's program of "holiday economics", adjusting the observance of the holiday to the nearest Monday in order to boost the tourism industry with long weekends. In 2010, it was moved back to its original date by President Benigno Aquino III.

August 27,2012 (Monday)
National Heroes Day. Commemorates all the nation's heroes throughout history. It is a regular holiday marking the 1896 Cry of Pugad Lawin by the Katipunan, led by its Supremo Andrés Bonifacio, which began the Philippine Revolution.

Relatives of the late soldiers, presidents and alike goes to libingan ng mga bayani to offer their prayers while A commemoration ceremony is held in the area honouring the dead for their bravery and Nationalism.

The Mark of Athena is Coming. Soon!

Its been a week without books. I am well rested.. but bored. I hope for another Young Gen Fiction so i went to Rick Riordan's Website and read again (for the nth time) his newest book to launch very soon. Mark of Athena is the 3rd Installment in the Heroes of Olympus Series. I cant wait to get my hands on it.

The Hunger Games Book 1 by Suzanne Collins

When the book opens, North America as we know it has been destroyed and is now divided into 12 districts, ruled by an oppressive government located at the Capitol. Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old girl from District 12, takes her younger sister’s place as one of 24 “tributes” selected every year to participate in the Hunger Games at the Capitol.

The Hunger Games are held annually hosted by none other than the Capitol, the Authority. This game is devised To commemorate the up rise of the Districts against the Capitol years ago. This is a punishment so the districts must always remember that even the lives of their children are at Capitol's mercy. 2 Children ages 12 to 18 from each district are randomly drawn each year, they will be brought to an arena, an artificial environment highly controlled by the game organizers. Everything is televised. For days they will fight to death until only 1 is left. The victor's village will enjoy a year long supply from Capitol and will temporarily be fed. the loosing districts will continue their struggle with their oppressed life where people normally dies of Hunger.

The story revolved on Katniss as she struggle to keep herself alive. She battled  thirst, fire, hunger, wild animals, injuries, and other delegates for her survival.Her skill in using Bow is a big help and her experience in hunting in the outskirts of district 12 for wild animals were a very good training. She couldn't have survived without those. Katniss was popular and her kindness and thoughtfulness as seen on TV has gained the people's sympathy. She made a friend out of the youngest contestant, Rue who is the same age as her sister, Rue died in the end and her killer was Katniss' first kill too.

There's just one thing alarming i should say, this book is written for young ones (its actually in the children's section) but the intensity of the scenes are so not for the kids. Example a 16 year old girl pulling her bow and planting an arrow to someone Else's heart, the view of Rue dying as the spear entered her tiny body, the blood shed in the initial brawl of the contestants for their camping supply, the gross description of dying body and people eaten alive. I guess that's so not for a young one. 

Anyway I loved this book, enthralling and heart stopping pacing, amazing plot and great strong witty characters.I found it very hard to put it down. I also heard the audiobook from Scholastic Audio (the one by Carolyn McCormick) the narration is just exemplary..I saw the movie twice and realize there are only a few differences from the books. But i wont tell what, just read the book because its a gem anyhow.

Fifty Shades Series by EL James

Why haven't i thought of writing about this series earlier? I don't know.. Maybe i just want to keep Christian Grey to myself?? *Swoons.. I've just read this book out of curiosity (why, i think all people do) it was (and is still) so popular in the internet and you can even watch some testimonials in YouTube. Hell i heard even Ellen Degeneres reads it. So i got mine.(why not). To cut the chase short. I got smitten*, in love with this series.

The first books is Fifty Shades of Grey, 2nd book : Fifty Shades Darker, 3rd Book: Fifty Shades Freed.

The first time ever i downed 3 books in 4 days, before, my fastest record was the House of Night 8 books which i KO in 2 weeks. Tell me about it. I am a sadist* with series. 3 in 4 days is extremely fast for me already. Because i work full time 5-6 days in a week. And i sleep regularly at least 5 hours, travel to and from work 3-4 hours a day. So do your math, the answer is still addiction.

My favorite part is the exchanging of emails. I find it really cute and very romantic. The character of Anastasia is very cute and sexy. Her wits and personality is candid and adorable. While the character of Christian Grey is (i cant even put it into words) i guess perfect would do, although i find it lacking. How do you define a very beautiful man who can always make women around blush with just even his presence? Who dominates in Bed leaving woman submissive and wanting more, Who pampers his girl with extreme thoughtfulness and affection? Who is considered one of the wealthiest man in your country? Generously gifts thousand dollars worth of first edition books (he got me here), top of the line gadgets, cars, etc, who owns a jet (or does have a company who owns one) a chopper which he can pilot himself, a boat, vacation houses in various tourist areas in America. Who offers you the best of everything not because his money can talk but because he can? He is a fantasy come true in this series. So whats not to love? I never thought that im gonna get hooked but i was hooked before i realized that he is overly far fetched from existence. There is something about his past that is dark, and despite his strength, his controlling character depicts in the outside, he is actually lost and his inside is a very traumatized boy tainted with a very lonely past. This is where the story revolves. The series is very erotic, it is a God's die hard gift to all romantics.
