My Not So Grown Up Christmas List

Hello October! Christmas is fast coming and the kid in me wants to make a list for Christmas. I use to do this but i stopped, so now dyaaaraaan!! Here's what i want for Christmas!

Warning : This is the materialistic side of me :) there are far better things i wish that i could not write in here so i just keep it to myself okay! i wanted to make this list so i will be inspired to achieve, these i would like to think - will be my reward to myself.

A New Perfume

Sniff Sniff Sniff me More. I think I've been wanting to get this for myself for the longest time. Isn't it lovely? Just the bottle looks classy enough right? But its a little expensive for me so until now i cant buy it, I've been like dreaming to have Daisy by Marc Jacobs for the last 3 years now. Oh how i wish i could have it soon!

Well, i things go so well, i would like the following as alternative :

a. Dolce and Gabbanna Light Blue. This is like the National Perfume of all the Pinays in Singapore. And Yes i love it too, i used to have a small bottle but its finished already. So i want one, again!

b. Victoria Secret's Vanilla Lace. I beg to disagree that it smells like a car perfume! I know its affordable nonetheless it is still classy! And it would be super awesome if it will come together with other stuff like below (vomit blood).

A New Bag

What now haha i think i had like 10 or more bags this year but those were the cheap bags from Divisoria, infact some of them i gave away already after one use only, the thing is, i have a very little resistance to temptation when it comes to bags. Have you ever been to Divisoria's Night Market?? They sell there very cheap bags mostly signature cut, but of course they don't last long, lucky you if they last with you for a few months.Then I realized now, i actually spent so much for those cheap bags that had i saved all those money i could have already afford a better bag with a good tag, No not the LV or Prada ones, but Maybe Tommy Hilfiger or XOXO perhaps?

But this Christmas, I'm eyeing Charles & Keith and how i wish I'm still in Singapore because C & K is so much cheaper there and what more i can check out the sale items online and see which store has it, saves me time and money going to the wrong shop right? The website is also so good you can actually see how the items look like because you can rotate the viewer. Too bad they don't have a website for online shopping in the Philippines, and the items are very limited as well.

And here are the alternatives in case i failed to get it

a. Michaela Bag. My workmate Janice always get her bag from Michaela, before, i don't really believe in the promise of local brands but i came to notice this one specially because i like the styles and sizes their bag comes with.

b. Satchel bag from Tomato. Ive been wanting to get this Purple (or dark velvet or this curry colored on like the pic below) bag from Tomato but whenever i visit their boutiques they don't have stock so i don't really know if they still sell it. but i still want one in case i failed to get the 2 above.Hahaha.

A New Phone

I think i better say bye bye to my iPhone. I am planning to sell it soon because its like 3 yrs old already and i am not very comfortable traveling with it. Its not very luxurious dang its not Samsung s3 or iPhone 4 or 5 but still if you travel most of the time Here in the Philippines better be safe than sorry. I would like to change into a more humble phone so i would like to get myself a cheap 3g Blackberry, No i don't want a plan, i just want to have data when i need it so i want a prepaid one, i also don't want monthly obligation.

An Ipad!

Yes you heard me i want an Ipad for myself. I think I'd go with the WiFi Only, it is fine because i intend to have internet on my phone anyway. I don't know why i never bought an Ipad when  was in Singapore, Maybe because i find it too huge?? Haha, but that what i want now something huge so i can have more time reading or listening to my audiobooks. Also i want to sell my iphone so i need to get another apple. I am in love with Apple products.

 A Rebonded Hair

Stress really does bad right? Imagine how i looked when i was out of job, penniless but fresh hahaha and yes i may have a few to spend now but look how horrible i look, i aged a ton!! Sometimes i feel even scared to look at myself, seeing how horrible my skin had become, or even my nails, or even my "size" those aren't really helping to boost my self esteem.. So for a change i wanted to pamper myself with a nice rebond, You see despite the split ends, i really want to keep my long hair so i just trim it only a little, i want to reserve it until i save enough for a rebond. Oh i dont think i could afford those Loreal Xtenso because they are sooo expensive, But hey i found a salon with great feedback and customer reviews so i want to try it.

An Inter-Island Vacation

My Bf and I have been planning to go to a vacation trip. For once we have not been to any and i think we should soon do it because both of us are stressed with our work and second, everybody deserves some good time right? But where do we go? I still don't know.. Money is still a big factor, this may come last but i sure want this to come one way or another.. I wanted to go to Boracay for a few days, I wanted to see the beach, to feel the wind, but i also want to enjoy the mountains to wake up in the chirps of the birds. Actually, I thought of coming home to Mindoro, Its my mother's province and my grandmother owns a house there, i also have a clanful of relatives there. But i dont even know why,as much as i miss Naujan, i am also afraid to see that place again. I feel sadness. With my grandfather gone now, the house that used to be very happy just sits there damp and empty. i hope one of my mom's sibling go back there to live in the house, so it would still feel home to me.

Simple Flower Nail Art : Cherry Blossoms at Night

Just recently i learned how to make flowers with a dotting tool and a toothpick. So my nails this week is inspired by the magazine cover i saw while traveling home. Sakura leaves in dark background. I called this Cherry Blossoms at Night ha-ha..

Simple Strawberry Nail Art

When i saw Saab Magalona in one of the TV Sitcom in TV5 (i can't recall what or when) one of the thing that caught my eye is her nails. I thought i saw some strawberry inspired art in it. Before i knew it, i have already researched on youtube how it is done and tell you, there are tons of strawberry nail art tutorials online but amongst the videos i saw, i think this one is the same as the what's Saab nails look like.

After seeing this video, i was fired up and envious so i got mine too. haha. But i have limited nail polish supplies and i dont have the same colors so i made use of what i already have.

When i applied the green i just let it go over my nails because it is short, i cleaned it aftwards

First i coat my nails with the pink one, then used the green one to make the leaves, actually i dont have a green, this color looks more like teal to me, but it can do yeah? then apply the strawberry seeds randomly using a dotting tool with white polish. To finish it off, i coated it with a natural polish so its shiny.

It may look messy but i think looks cute for a first timer.

The Hello Kitty Chocolate Filled Cookies.

I saw this Hello Kitty Chocolate filled cookies from Mercury Drug Convenience Store in Crossing Shaw and immediately bought it. I thought of trying it out for a change but i already doubt it because i had a bad experience from Japanese cookies bought from Singapore's 1 dollar Daiso. They don't taste right to me.
But, the cat caught me and like in most occasions, i can barely admit that i loved hello kitty. But in reality, i think i do, i just don't have the budget to collect it, or maybe i find liking it too overrated. Because, who doesn't anyway?

Whats in the Bag

Chocolate filled cookies that looks hand painted with cute drawing of kitty and ice cream cones. The filling are cookies and something with texture, im not sure if its rice crispies (really tiny) or sprinkles. But they look good. They just dont smell that enticing.

The Meowmmmy Factor

I think it don't taste good at all. Just like my worst experience from a Daiso cookie, it leaves a medicine like after taste, that kind of taste you get from really cheap cookies. It don't taste like chocolate to me, but only "chocolate-like" something else ha-ha. No kidding i ate only 3 pcs and thought of taking the other few pieces home to feed it my dog. Later on i throw it away i fear my dog might die LOL.

I took home the other pack, Its  a good addition to my room only because it is pink (Oh i love anything pink that looks cute). The pack that i throw already i took it again from the waste bin and cut Hello Kitty out, put some tape and pin it so right now it stands in front of my monitor in the office. And whenever i look at it, i feel full (that's good right?), i don't ever wanna taste it again.

I definitely don't recommend buying it. But it is cheap anyway so if you are collecting Hello Kitty, its good to have one too, just display it, don't eat it !

Tyring Out Bake and Churn's Black Forest Flavored Dome Cake

First of all let me tell everyone that i love Bake and Churn, i enjoyed their ice cream cakes and I've blogged about it already HERE.

Black Forest

Yesterday was my BF's 26th Birthday, that in mind, i redeemed for him an ice cream cake from Bake and Churn, i had a voucher from Ensogo which i have purchased long ago. I've always loved Rocky Road and i have tried and tested Bake and Churn's Rocky Road Dome Cake. It's a Two Thumbs Up i tell you.

Yesterday i though of trying other flavors and the closest i had thought was Black Forest.

The cake looks amazing. I even asked my BF to change himself into a red shirt so i would take pictures. Bake and Churn is still true to their word that their ice cream don't melt so easily. BlackForest's Icecream cake is almost the same as the Rocky Road, except that the Rocky Road had less ice cream and less cake because it has a layer of marshmallows, the BlackForest have a Thicker layer of Cake, Thicker layer of ice cream and thin layer of white icing.

I sliced a generous amount and dig in realizing how sweet it was, no.. not sweet, overly sweet. There's nothing in the combination that pacifies the sweetness. Everything is sweet, no.. everything is overly sweet.

My BF and I were not able to finish the slice i put in my plate. The sweetness.. no.. extreme sweetness gave me a headache and even my mom's boyfriend started vomiting the food out before i could even complain.

I've always loved my cake with a reasonable amount of sweetness only.. I think i made a wrong choice in picking BackForest. I should have sticked to the traditional Rocky Road. Well, i still have 2 more vouchers to use and i dont know what to choose now :(

I've recently realized the wonderful things my (correction :my BFs ) SONY EXPERIA MINI could do and i was so amazed now i want to own one myself too. A few of those great things i enjoy having it around rather than my iphone are the following :

Radio.
I love having access to local radio stations when i feel like listening to one. With the experia around this is really possible. Just like other phone, i just have to attach a headset. The phone uses the headset as an antenna.

Free Apps.
Android has more free apps than ios. There are a lot of paid downloaded apps in my iphone that's just free in android. Ever felt being ripped off??

Hotspot.
I know that newer iphones have improved tethering features, but my iphone is not jailbroken. Its an old 3GS. And as far as tweaking is concern i am so notinto it. I have a feeling its gonna break anytime, with it loosing reception quite often, rebooting and freezing.

My boyfriend loves Magnum Ice Cream.

Actually he had his first Magnum when he visited me years back in Singapore (tell you Magnum was not so popular back then, or maybe it still is not famous there now, i cant really tell) but its just an ordinary ice cream bar that you can get in most auntie / uncle convenience down the HDB.
One true thing about the Magnum ice cream is that it is really thick and creamy. That being a fact also means it don't melt so easily. Which gives you the best ice cream bar experience for a reasonable expense. Back in SF it costs about 2 dollar plus and here in the Philippines they give it off at 50..
I took photos of my boyfriend while indulging on Magnum Truffles and here are the outcome when i tiled it using the iphone app "shake it" (i love this app i intend to blog about it in the future).

Aren't they cute? My boyfriend loved them and when i posted it in his Facebook many of his friends liked it too.

My choice was the second pic. I think its more candid and free. And it even says 'powered by magnum'. Dont get me wrong in there, its not paid ad at all.

My Simple Nail Art

Look what i made out of some nail polish and stickers.

The base is an earth tone tan from OMG which i always have (it is must for me to have earth tone polish all the time). The stickers are from Watsons i bought them last month for 30php.
The sticker is a great deal because a mat is useful for 3-4 sets already. Not bad right??
I just played with the sticker and got really satisfied. So cute :)).

To finish it sparkling, i glazed my nails with Bobbie natural transparent polish.
Hmmm i guess i have no preference with nail polish. I don't care much if local brand as long as not a fake.

Frabelle Foods Yummy Cheesedog is Two Thumbs Up!!

I don't really blog about every food i eat all the time. I only blog about my food experience When i get really satisfied with my purchase or when i got more than the worth that i paid for or when i really have to share how great or worst the experience was. After all I don't get paid for doing so :)

Last Weekend i went to SM Hypermart with my dad for my "After the Payday Grocery". I wanted some hotdogs but i was surprised that the Sm Hypermart in Binan dont have much to offer. I would normally get an economically priced hotdog (i let my mom buy the expensive one haha) but they only have Andale and i don't like that. Then i saw the Frabelle Yummy Cheesedogs and recalled "I saw this on TV with a Senator promoting it". I don't know when this product started selling but i took one anyway. I wanted to try it for once and see for myself why Senator Chiz Escudero would vouch his name to its quality.

Now what about my experience?

I've been looking for a hotdog as nice as the one's i buy from Singapore.And i found it now. I looove the Frabelle's Yummy Cheesedog. Unlike other brands, it don't sag! It is so meaty full! and it is very tasty!! as in Ham Tasty!! So i definitely recommend it. It is good and worth your money!

 With this positive experience, i would like to try other Frabelle Products too. Unfortunately im nearly depleted hence, i still have to wait until my next "After the Payday Shopping".
